Robin Scholes – Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM)
Robin Scholes has been appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to the screen industry. With a career spanning over five decades, Scholes has been a driving force behind films that define New Zealand’s cultural identity. Her notable works, including Once Were Warriors and Mr. Pip, have received critical acclaim and helped propel New Zealand storytelling onto the international stage.

Matthew Metcalfe – Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM)
Matthew Metcalfe has been appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to the film industry. As a prolific producer, Metcalfe has built an impressive body of work that spans multiple genres, including films such as Dean Spanley, Beyond the Edge, and McLaren.
His ability to develop ambitious projects and collaborate with international partners has helped position New Zealand as a key player in global cinema. This honour recognises his continued impact on the industry, from fostering New Zealand talent to producing films that captivate audiences worldwide.
