Lynne Cardy is a highly respected figure in our performing arts industry, known for her outstanding contributions to theatre and dedication to nurturing creative talent. With over two decades of experience, Lynne has been instrumental in shaping the local arts scene through her innovative vision and tireless commitment to storytelling.
Lynne trained in Clown and Physical Theatre in the UK and graduated with a Diploma in Drama from Auckland University in 1997. A creative producer and casting director, she produced many plays for Auckland Theatre Company, where she was Associate Director for over a decade. Casting credits include Ian Mune’s Once on Chunuk Bair [2014], the Nationwide Search for Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical (2016), and Katie Wolfe’s The Haka Party Incident [2021]. Recent performances include immersive theatre for young audiences, and past screen credits include guest roles on Shortland Street, TVCs, and voice work.
Known for her passion for nurturing talent, Lynne has mentored countless emerging writers, actors, and creatives - her specific skills in blending strategic vision with artistic integrity has carved her to be a local legend, and we're thrilled to have her joining the Collaborate whānau.
